The Berkey Light water filter system is designed for use during travel, outdoor activities or in an unexpected emergency. This powerful system allows you to filter both treated and untreated raw water from such sources as streams, remote lakes, stagnant ponds and water supplies in foreign countries, where regulations may be substandard at best. Perfect for outdoor activities and a must in a hostile environment where electricity, water pressure or treated water may not be available.

Berkey Light eliminates pathogenic bacteria, cysts and parasites. It filters out harmful chemicals such as pesticides, herbicides, organic solvents, trihalomethanes, radon 222 and VOC.  It will reduce nitrites, nitrates and unhealthy minerals such as lead and mercury. The Berkey Light is so efficient it can remove food coloring from water without eliminating the beneficial minerals your body needs.

As the system purifies it produces the delightful relaxing sound of falling raindrops.  The base has an optional LED lighting system, available in practical white or cobalt blue, allowing for optimum use day or night.  The lighting effects coupled with the melody of rain drops, combine to create a unique relaxing atmosphere.

The filter system comes complete with two Black Berkey purification elements, 2 cylinders, a base and utilizes the latest technological advances. Berkey Light is constructed of shatter resistant and virtually unbreakable high impact strength non-BPA  copolyester.  This plastic is not manufactured with or contain any Bisphenol A, does not leach foul tasting plasticizers into your water and will retain foul tastes and odors from waterborne contaminants Berkey Light has a storage capacity of about 2.75 gallons (10.4 liters). When in use it stands 21 inches in height and less than 9 inches in diameter.  Configured with two Black Berkey purification elements the system will filter up to 4 gallons (15.2 liters) per hour.  The flow rate is calculated when the upper chamber is filled to the top and decreases as the water level declines.
