The Crown Berkey water filter system is ideal and versatile for use with medium to large groups, at home, hospitals, churches, orphanages, for outdoor activities or during unexpected emergencies.  Effectively used during a natural disaster or an unexpected emergency such as  hurricanes, floods, earthquakes and blackouts, when clean water is not available.    Perfect for everyday use and a must in a hostile environment where electricity, water pressure or treated water may not be available. This powerful system allows you to filter both treated and untreated raw water from such sources as streams, remote lakes, stagnant ponds and water supplies in foreign countries, where regulations may be substandard at best.

Crown Berkey eliminates pathogenic bacteria, cysts and parasites. It filters out harmful chemicals such as pesticides, herbicides, organic solvents, trihalomethanes, radon 222 and VOC. It will reduce nitrites, nitrates and unhealthy minerals such as lead and mercury. The Crown Berkey is so efficient it can remove red food coloring from water without eliminating the beneficial minerals your body needs. Virtually no other system is able to duplicate this performance. 

The filter system comes complete with either two or eight Black Berkey purification elements and utilizes the latest technological advances. It's constructed of highly polished 304 stainless steel and has a storage capacity of about 6 gallons (22.7 liters). When in use it stands 30 inches in height and less than 11 inches in diameter. For transport the upper chamber nest within the lower chamber and stands only 20 inches in height.

Configured with two Black Berkey purification elements the system will filter up to 6.5 gallons (24.6 liters) per hour and can be expanded to use eight purification elements to increase it's capability to filter up to 26 gallons (98.4 liters) per hour. The flow rate is calculated when the upper chamber is filled to the top and decreases as the water level declines.
