About Inversion Therapy
 
The Teeter EP-550 inversion table places your body in line with the downward force of gravity. By putting gravity to work for you, inverting elongates the spine, increasing the space between the vertebrae, which relieves the pressure on discs, ligaments and nerve roots. I bought this inversion table because of a recommendation from a friend. I was really skeptical whether this would do any good for my lower back pain and sciatica. I've owned it for about a month now, and I can definatley say that it is helping a great deal. I use the table daily and have found that hanging upside down helps me relax as well. When I compared inversion tables, I picked the EP-550 because they told me I could upgrade it later if I wanted inversion boots or other features. Teeter has the longer warranty period than any other brand I looked and, and since I wasn't sure if inversion was for me, the option to return it in 30 days was a big plus. The table shipped the same day I ordered it and arrive a few days later. When I received it, UPS messed up the box, but the unit itself was fine. It took me longer to get it out of the box than it did to put it together. There is hardly any assembly. The DVD was handy for assembly and as a guide when I first started inversion. Using the table is very easy once you figure out the rotation speed adjustment after a couple times. I usually invert to 60 degrees. I only do full inversion if I'm showing the table off. My son can do sit ups when he inverts on it, but I'm probably 30 years past when I could do that! My only regret about this table is that I didn't get it sooner. It is a quality product that has really helped me out.

Years ago, back when these were called Backswings, I purchased an inversion table, and it's really helped my back.  I bought the Teeter EP-550 to replace my old one, and it has very-much exceeded my expectations.  The EP-550 is better made and more comfortable - I love it!
