The Travel Berkey is compact and a perfectly designed system for small families (up to four people) for use during outdoor activities, travel or during unexpected emergencies.  While this may be the smallest system in the Berkey line-up, it is just as effective and proficient as it's older siblings and is ideal for traveling.  This powerful Berkey water filter purifies both treated and untreated raw water from such sources as streams, remote lakes, stagnant ponds and water supplies in foreign countries, where regulations may be substandard at best.

Effectively used during a natural disaster or an unexpected emergency such as  hurricanes, floods, earthquakes and blackouts, when clean water is not available. Perfect for everyday use and a must in a hostile environment where electricity, water pressure or treated water may not be available.

Travel Berkey eliminates pathogenic bacteria, cysts and parasites entirely and extracts harmful chemicals such as herbicides, pesticides, VOC's, organic solvents, radon 222, and trihalomethanes.   It also reduces nitrates, nitrites and unhealthy minerals such as lead and mercury.  Travel Berkey is so efficient it can remove food coloring from water without eliminating the beneficial minerals your body needs. Virtually no other system is able to duplicate this performance. 

The water filter system comes complete with two Black Berkey purification elements and utilizes the latest technological advances.  Configured with two purification elements the system will filter up to 2.75 gallons (9.5 liters) per hour. It's constructed of highly polished 304 stainless steel and has a storage capacity of about 1.5 gallons (5.7liters).  When in use it stands 18 inches in height and less than 7.5 inches in diameter. For transport the upper chamber nest within the lower chamber and stands only 12 inches in height.  The flow rate is calculated when the upper chamber is filled to the top and decreases as the water level declines.
